General Agent Donald M. Krolak is retiring effective 1 January 2012
Thank you and Best of Luck to Brother Don Krolak

Brother Knights,

Brother Don Krolak who has been the General Agent for the Reno Dioceses for many years is retiring effective 1 January 2012. Don has been a strong supporter of Nevada I appreciate the support and advice he has provided me over the years. He will be missed but he is leaving his agency in good hands with Todd Cabral.

Protecting family financial security has been part of the Knights of Columbus mission since we were founded in 1882. Don has been instrumental in carrying forward Father McGiveny’s vision as a General Agent, the security and welfare of his brother Knights was always Don’s main focus. Don has made a remarkable contribution and has touched the lives of so many Brother Knights and their families in immeasurable ways. He was and will always, I’m sure, remain sensitive to the needs of his brothers and their families. I appreciate that quality as well as his loyalty to Nevada and the order.

I ask my brother knights in Nevada to join me in wishing Don and Mary the best in their retirement.

Fraternally,

David M. Ryan
State Deputy

New General Agent servicing knight famlies in Reno Dioceses in Nevada
Todd Cabral appointed General Agent effective 1 January 2012

Brother Knights,

I proud to announce that Brother Todd Cabral has accepted the position of General Agent replacing Brother Don Krolak effective 1 January 2012. Todd will have the Reno Dioceses and part of California. I encourage all our Brother Knights in Nevada to get behind Todd and provide him our support. This is a big step forward for Nevada and we need to work towards increasing the membership in Nevada for our future and the betterment of the order.

Some have asked why we don’t have a general agent for just Nevada. The answer is simple our membership in Nevada is not large enough to support a general agent. For this to even be considered we need a minimum of 7500 active brother knights in Nevada. We are presently at 5369. So we need about a 50% increase in membership. This is an attainable goal considering less than 2 of every 100 eligible Catholic men in Nevada are Knights. Let’s work towards this goal.

I ask for your support and prayers for Todd as he takes on this new and challenging position.

Fraternally,

David M. Ryan
State Deputy

Online Theology
sponsored by the
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Newman Community at UNLV.
In the Dominican tradition, I want Catholics to study their Catholic religion. This course (other courses will follow) is designed for Catholics and non-Catholics who want to know more about the Catholic religion and cannot attend enrichment classes. You study from the comfort of your house. There is no rush in studying these lessons - take your time. Read and reflect what you are studying, thus you will grow in your understanding of the Catholic beliefs.

Love and Peace,
Fr. Albert Felice-Pace
State Chaplain

First Saturday Mass
Diocese of Las Vegas

At Fatima Our Lady made the following personal  promises to those who, on five consecutive First Saturdays, will confess their sins, receive Holy Communion, say the Rosary and spend fifteen minutes with Her in meditation upon the mysteries of the Rosary, in reparation for the offenses committed against Her Immaculate Heart: "I will assist (be present) at the hour of your death with all the grace necessary for salvation..."

First Saturday Mass
First Saturday Mass is held monthly at St. Bridget's Church,
9:00 AM, 220 N. 14th St., Las Vegas, NV 89101-4312.

Living Rosary services
Fallon, & Reno

Council 4828 in Fallon sponsors Living Rosary Prayer Services on the 1st Saturdays of each month at 9:00 a.m. and on the 3rd Wednesdays of each month, typically at 7:00 p.m., just before their regular business meeting.  Everyone is invited.

If you live closer to Reno, or are going to be in the Reno area, then please plan to attend the Living Rosary services that are typically held over there at the same time (across from the abortion center near Meadowood Mall.)  It doesn't matter where you attend these services, the most important thing is that we get as many people as possible to join in prayer for an end to abortion and for the protection of life at all stages, so please help spread the word about both the Reno and Fallon services to all of our fellow Br. Knights and to our fellow parishioners.
