Keep Christ in Christmas -
Posters/Billboard
I have just finished speaking to Ms. Starr Peterson of
LAMAR ADVERTISING. Ms. Peterson told me that LAMAR
ADVERTISING WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO HANG THE POSTER DUE TO
LACK OF SITE AVAILABILITY this year. This is due to an
extremely large volume of Christmas orders received
during the months of July and August.
This means if you decide to order a poster from
CREATIVE MEDIA in Chattanooga, TN., you will have to find
your own company to hang the poster and of course pay for
it yourself.

IT OFFICIAL... WE HAVE A NEW COUNCIL IN
NORTHERN NEVADA!!!
Congratulations and Welcome to "Saint Robert
Bellarmine Council 13897"
St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Fernley, Nevada.
Instituted by District Deputy #1, SK and Brother Chuck
Baker on Saturday, October 15.
Pastor Robert Chorey
Charter Council Officers for 13897 will
be:
Chaplain Rev Thomas Cronin (retired)
Charter Grand Knight Brother Robert
"Bob" Wallace
Financial Secretary Willard "Bill"
Bushard
Field Agent Russ Fromherz, FICF
A nomination list of the remaining
Charter Officers will be presented at the Councils
1st Council meeting, Thursday, November 3, 2005.
Council 13897 officially started with 30
members, with a number of transfers and re-admissions to
take place in the next couple of weeks.
Congratulations should also go to Brother Bill Bushard,
who served as Roundtable coordinator for the last two
years. It was Brother Bills dedication that kept
this Roundtable to Council on track. We shouldnt
forget the Fernley Roundtables Host Council,
Ponderosa Council 4928 of Holy Cross Parish in Sparks,
under the leadership of Grand Knight Paul Matteoni.
Others that should be recognized are Former District
Deputy, Brother Mike Swedowski, PGK Marvin Cochran, Field
Agent Russ Fromherz, and Past NCD Brother Joe Garcia. A
bit of history, Brother Joe was Nevadas New Council
Development Chairman in the early 90s, when then
Pastor Father Tony Vercellone (now of Las Vegas)
requested the Knights to organize in Fernley. It took a
few years for this growing area to be large enough to
support a Council. It has now happened!!
Congratulations and welcome notes,
letters, cards, or e-mails can be sent to:

As most Grand Knights and Council
officers know, it takes money to operate a Council. A new
council doesn't have any money in the bank, except for a
$200 gift from Supreme. As a new Council, a gift of money
and/or items can always be used. Please consider this
Nevada Tradition for new councils, at your next Council
business meeting.
