Thank You!

Brother Knights,

Well it has been a couple of months since my last Ten Commandments update to you and I have to say your efforts have been overwhelming.

In our first two years Project Moses averaged 65-70 large monuments each year.  This year, with the help of Knights like you, we are set to better than double that number.  Project Moses is on track to erect over 150 monuments in 2006.

Wisconsin is the leader for erecting monuments out of this year’s slate of State Conventions but I know several councils are working on it in Tennessee, Virginia, Delaware and New Jersey.

Wyoming still is the overall leader with 40 monuments erected.  They also have the highest percentage of Churches with a monument  - 85%.  Colorado is coming on strong and Louisiana, Texas, California and Nebraska are close on their heals.

Thank You!!!!!

If your council is considering this project, contact me and I will put you in touch with brother Knights who have successfully used the Ten Commandments plaques as a fund raising tool.  What you will hear will blow you away!  For example –

The Worthy State Advocate of Colorado was involved in a fundraising weekend at St. Peters parish in Greeley Co just last weekend.  They had me speak at the 5 pm Sat and the 7, 8:30, 10, and 11:30 am Masses.  At the end of the day they had raised just over $10,000 and placed nearly 300 TC plaques in parishioners homes!!!  Needless to say my brother Knights were blown away.  They had hoped to raise $1500-$2500.  Their goal is to raise enough money to buy 3 large monuments for the three churches their council serves.  I go back to Greeley the end of the month to speak at St. Mary’s – the larger parish in Greeley.  My guess is that they are going to need to find a use for the excess funds they will raise.

The Greeley experience is NOT unique.  All it takes is one coordinator, some volunteers to work the doors that weekend and the pastor’s support.  With these three things you will be able to get a monument for your parish and increase membership – ALL AT NO COST TO YOUR COUNCIL!!!!

Please consider spearheading this effort at your parish today!  Your Church and Country are counting on you.

God bless,
