UPDATE ON PAST STATE DEPUTIES  (Received 6/30/07)

PSD, FM John Youngman (1997-1998) and wife Billie: I spoke both to John and Billie.  Billie lost her brother George, last Monday.  Unfortunately, when they were both at George’s house in Pahrump, John fell down the stairs and hit his head on the concrete.  Since then, he has been back and forth to the doctors in Reno for several tests.  He is still in quite a bit of pain.   Billie is hanging in there and doing her best to help John.  I am sure they wouldn’t mind a call or two.  Get-well cards can be sent to:
PSD, FM John Youngman, 675 Parlanti Lane  #71, Sparks, NV  89434-4040
(775) 355-8898

************************************************

PSD Ray Barozzi (1989-1990): I also spoke to PSD Ray.  He is doing pretty good.  He was really uplifted with all the cards and phone calls he received.  He didn’t realize how much his Brother Knights really cared about him.  Keep his phone busy and continue sending him get-well cards. Here is his address and phone number:
PSD Raymond Barozzi, 3485 Bryan St., Reno,  NV  89503-1910
(775) 747-1801

************************************************

I recently saw PSD, FM Kay DeNeal and his wife, Dona at a Knight’s event  He is doing a bit better, but is still under doctor’s care and will probably be so for quite awhile.  Please give Brother Kay a call or send a get-well card to:
PSD, FM Kay DeNeal (1985-1987) 7500 Pinedale Ave Las Vegas, NV 89145-5214
(702)  363-2474

************************************************

PSD, FM Roland DiSanza (1981-1983) I spoke to PSD, FM Roland DiSanza’s grandson, as Roland was resting.  He informed me that Roland was doing much better, but it was difficult for him to get around. He is staying with his daughter and you can send him cards of encouragement at:
4842 Bunch St., Las Vegas, NV  89122-7406; phone no:  702-451-7992.

************************************************

PSD Frank Holzhauer (1983-1985) I spoke to Frank and he informed me that he was weak, but feeling much better.  He was even planning to go to church.  He also said that his spirits were really uplifted because he received more get-well cards than he does Christmas cards!!!!  Keep sending him those cards at 114 Woodlake Court, Dayton, NV  89403-8603; or call him at: 775-246-3246.

************************************************

PSD, FM, BRUCE C. JARZEN (1999-2002) Brother Bruce paid me a surprise visit a couple of weeks ago.  He informed me that with the new medication, he was feeling much, much better and finally able to get around better than he had for the best two years.  I am sure he would still like hearing from his Brother Knights so please send get-well cards to:  8808 Bologna Dr., Las Vegas, NV  89117-1154.  You can call him at:  702-254-0604.

************************************************

FRANK BECKER (1956-1957-UTAH) I talked to Brother Frank.  He informed me that he is finally doing well after being quite depressed over the loss of his wife, Alma.  He is even attending meetings with the help of a Brother Knight as he cannot drive anymore at night.  You can send him cards of encouragement at:
526 Topaz Ave., Henderson, NV 89015-1503.
His phone number is:  702-565-5222.

************************************************

My Brother Knights:  As you can see from the above, prayers, cards and those wonderful personal phone calls really work.  Let’s also thank their wives and family members for helping them thru some rough times.  As President of the Nevada Past State Deputies Association, this is my final update on Nevada’s (and Utah’s) Past State Deputies, but before I sign off, just one more report on a Past State Deputy:

MACEDONIO “CURLY” INIQUEZ, (1998-1999) As some of you know I suffered a stroke in my left eye on March 9.  I lost vision, but it returned rather quickly. Tests for the next two months showed that the eye stroke was due to a bleeding blood vessel caused by high blood pressure. Hopefully, meds will take care of that.  I was fortunate enough not to suffer any permanent damage.  I am scheduled to have a Radioisotope Treadmill Test shortly – just to make sure the old ticker is working. Irene and I ask for your prayers as well.

MACEDONIO "CURLY" INIQUEZ, PAST PRESIDENT
